Biojoule have appointed specialist contractors CRL to handle all aspects of planting and establishment, and to provide agronomy advice. CRL will assist with grant applications, advise on site preparation, provide planting material, and do the planting if required.
CRL will also handle the harvesting and subsequent delivery to the processing plant. Harvesting will usually be done every two to three years.
You will be paid a price per tonne of pellets produced from your harvest.
The price will reflect the fact that there is about 10%-12% moisture in the pellets, and also that some of the coppice material (between 2% and 5% typically) will be used to supplement the drying process.
