energy users

The era of cheap oil or gas is now over, and no-one is expecting prices to come down. Larger energy users may also have the added cost of Climate Change Levy, and meeting any carbon caps imposed under the EU Emissions trading Scheme.

Wood pellets offer a wonderful new way of providing heat, at any scale from domestic to fuelling power stations.

Wood pellets are clean, green, and mean:

  • They provide heat with no smoke, and leave only a light, clean ash (about 1%).
  • They are a renewable fuel – so no Climate Change Levy, and an instant contribution to emissions reductions targets.
  • But best of all, they are cheap. Pellets in most locations in the UK can now be supplied at prices that compete with, or even beat, mains gas.

Pellet fired burners are proven technology – many parts of Europe, especially Scandinavia, and have been using pellets as an energy source for years.

Pellets are clean and dry, and almost dust free. They are easy to store and handle, and flow well in air transport systems, in augers, or on belts.
