the biojoule plant
Biojoule has developed an integrated pellet plant (~10,000 tpy) that includes drying, pellet manufacture and storage. It needs no water or power connection, and is fully automated with control via a web link. All an on-site operator needs to do is to fill the bins with wood chip once a day.
The plant is built as a series of linked containers, so needs no buildings or foundations. All it needs is a secure flat and level area about 40m by 20m with access and manoeuvring room for a front end loader and access for haulage vehicles. Mobile phone reception, or a telephone line is also important.
The plant can be moved from one location to another in a matter of days – making it possible to follow harvesting or management operations, and also to use resources that will only be available for a short time.
