WHY PELLETS?

Pellets make biomass practical and convenient to use in a domestic and commercial environment as they:

• Are easily used in existing solid fuel heating systems;
• Have a reliable high energy content;
• Are easy to handle, transport and store;
• Can be made from by-product which would otherwise be wasted;
• Attract a variety of government energy incentives.

Over 10 million tonnes of pellets manufactured globally each year and they represent a substantial proportion of the domestic heating fuel market across German, Austria, Italy and Scandanivia.   Demand is growing strongly in the UK because wood pellets represent a proven, easy to use sustainable alternative to heating oil and natural gas.
