Biojoule buys raw wood chips, and converts them to premium pellets.

Wood is a superb fuel. It can be as cheap or cheaper than oil or gas and it’s climate friendly too. Raw wood chips though are as useful as crude oil. Turning them into pellets is like refining oil – it turns a difficult to handle, unpredictable and low value fuel into a predictable, clean, high value fuel that is easy to store, transport and handle.

However traditional pellet plants are large fixed installations usually attached to large sawmills. This means that smaller woodland and energy crop farmers are missing out on a major market opportunity, and energy consumers who don’t live near a large sawmill are denied a green and cost competitive choice.

Biojoule is developing new ways to produce pellets, that open up exciting opportunities for fuel growers and energy users alike.
